| New ArrivalsHere we are yet again with the babies for the 2007/2008 season and excited to show them off as they arrive. Photos will be updated regularly so keep checking in. ________________________________________________________ Alclair Luca DOB: 5th December 2007 Dam: Alclair Sassy (Black) Sire: Warralinga Hot Stuff (Rose grey/roan) Luca was our first cria of this season and his mum Sassy went into labour at 2am, an unusual occurrence for alpacas since they normally birth in the morning (daylight). Luca was presenting with only his head and one leg but thanks to Linda Blake's neo natal course Claire went in and found the missing leg and pulled it forward. From then on everything went smoothly and Luca arrived just after 4am. He is a confident young alpaca and since he only had the older boys to play with in his first two weeks he knows how to look after himself.
Luca @ 6 weeks __________________________________________________________ Alclair Flo DOB: 20 December 2007 Dam: Alclair Freda (Black) Sire:Warralinga Hot Stuff (Rose grey/roan) Flo is the first cria to our Freda, red ribbon winner in her class at the Christchurch show 2005, and first female of this season. It looks like Flo may follow in her mum's footsteps. She is incredibly dense and crimpy. She is a fine young alpaca. Thankfully Luca now has a playmate his size.

Alclair Echo DOB: 18 January 2008 Dam: Waratah Flats Cherrywood (Medium fawn) Sire: Silverstream Da Vinchi (Medium fawn) Echo arrived on a lovely sunny day and joins Luca and Flo. She is our third cria from Da Vinchi and the first white from him. That little pink nose is a worry with such hot sunny days.
