TESTIMONIES

To Whom It May Concern

I have spent a very long time trying to write a testimonial that will do justice to the service we have received from Claire and Allister Perry.  I looked up the dictionary for a definition of "service".  It said "an act of help or assistance" - but that wasn't good enough.  Ah, it defines "incredible" as "unbelievable, marvellous, amazing".  Yes, "incredible service" is what we received from Claire and Allister - unbelievable, marvellous and amazing acts of help and assistance.  Can I also add to that a wonderful friendship.

In September 2006 we purchased our lovely Alclair Ruby from Claire and Allister.  Ruby was pregnant and due to have her cria in January 2007.  Ruby has the most incredible nature - laid back, calm (even though she was pregnant) and I was stressed and absolutely terrified!!  We had two wethers already, but having a pregnant female was something very new to us.  Claire and Allister supported us every step of the way:  I went to watch one of their girls give birth so that I knew what to expect; Claire spent half a day sitting with me in my paddock for a false alarm; and then on 7 January both Claire and Allister arrived about an hour before Ruby gave birth to a healthy cria.  When we had problems with pasture soon after they collected mother and baby and relocated them to their property for about three months.

In March we purchased two more beautiful females from Claire and Allister - Alclair Faberge and Alclair Eloise.  Once again the nature of these animals is nothing short of amazing and the service received again is incredible - practical help with vaccinations and toenails and sound advice regarding pasture and general animal husbandry

I highly recommend that if you are contemplating purchasing an alpaca that your first port of call should be Alclair Alpacas and Claire and Allister.  They are highly knowledgeable about paccies and love them with a passion.  Claire, Allister, saying thank you for all your advice and assistance seems totally inadequate - but thank you for all your help and thank you for the opportunity and privilege to call you friends.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

My sister (Marg) and I saw that Alclair Alpacas had females for sale around October last year. We e-mailed them and found that Claire and Allister "bent over backwards" to answer all our questions, sent through photos and even went to the trouble of sending up a garment made from the fibre from one of the girls we were interested in. They didn't have to do that, or trust us with it, but they did and we have found their continued help and support very valuable.

When we agreed to buy their girls, they went to considerable trouble to help us find the best transport, work out how the girls could stay in Christchurch to break their journey, had health checks done and sent a large bag of alpaca nuts with them so their diet wouldn't be dramatically altered. When the girls arrived, their full ancestral, health etc details came with all documentation regarding their sale & purchase details - in a most professional manner.

Ongoing support, when we've asked for it, regarding any behavioural or eating habits has been immediately forthcoming. Personally I would say that I have not found any other breeders to have been as open, honest and helpful in every respect from enquiry to delivery on our property, as Claire and Allister have been. I know we would both buy from them again if/when we were looking for more breeding stock and if they had what we wanted - regardless of the distance they are away from where we are in the Manawatu.
